The United States Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the tax-exempt, nonprofit foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor our fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers. Their mission is to honor and remember America’s fallen fire heroes and to provide resources to assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives. They offer support programs for survivors, award scholarships to fire service survivors, help departments deal with line-of-duty deaths, and work to prevent line-of-duty deaths. www.firehero.org

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is dedicated to honoring all of America’s law enforcement heroes–those who continue to serve and protect andthose who have died in the line of duty, including the officers who lost their lives on September 11th. That mission is accomplished through the National Law EnforcementOfficers Memorial in Washington, DC, as well as programs such as Officer of the Month, Officer Roll Call and others. Today in the United States, some 900,000 law enforcement officers put their lives on the line for the safety and protection of others. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund invites you to learn more about the heroes of American law enforcement and join us in respecting, honoring and remembering
them. www.nleomf.com
